Based on feedback and questions we have received over the years, MRSC is now offering an intensive five-day Municipal Finance Bootcamp intended for new clerk/treasurers and finance directors from small cities and counties (SPDs are also welcome, although some of the content may not be as applicable). Initially, MRSC will be offering several bootcamps across the state in Olympia (registration full), Yakima, and Spokane. The topics covered by these Municipal Finance Bootcamps will include: * BARS * Key internal documents * Cash receipting * Payroll * Accounts payable/receivable * Fraud prevention * Cash reconciliation * Utility billing * Cost allocation * Investments * Budget * Annual reports Registration is now open for our bootcamps in Yakima and Spokane! Capacity is limited, and we encourage you to register as soon as possible. The Yakima bootcamp will occur in-person for the first three days and virtually for the last two days on different weeks. The Spokane bootcamp is fully in-person but with three days occurring in July and two-and-a-half days in August. Each day of these bootcamps (with one exception for Spokane) is an all-day training; please visit the registration pages to see the full schedule.
