Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Hi Heidi, Just a note to ask if you might be able to put in a formal request to DCD to consider the Port parcels along Hwy20, just south and west of the airport and north of the bus barn, for rezoning from rural residential to commercial/light manufacturing during this year's Comp Plan review. With rezoning in place, this would be an ideal location for Jefferson Timber Collective to develop a shared production facility and jumpstart the growing effort to build a thriving local wood economy (see attached). Without it, several of our member businesses will continue to struggle with the insecurity of lacking land-ownership or a long-term lease. I am cc'ing Eron Berg and Eric Toews here, as I know they have discussed this possibility with you, along with Commissioners Dean and Brotherton, as they have recently expressed support for this rezone. On behalf of our member businesses, thank you for considering this request. With best wishes, Scott Scott Freeman, Member Jefferson Timber Collective Manager, Leopold-Freeman Forests LLC 2110 E Quilcene Rd Quilcene WA 98376 360.316.6641
