A group of local governments, Tribes and nonprofit organizations in Clallam and Jefferson Counties are seeking grant funding to provide services that will help people between the ages
of 25–54 who are not employed get and keep good jobs. In order to do that, we need to understand what kinds of jobs people want and/or what makes it hard to get and keep a job. We are
asking people to respond to this quick 2 page survey. The information provided will be used to develop new and better programs and services. All information provided will be completely

Come Celebrate the Point Hudson Jetties - "completed ontime & under budget."
Dedication ceremony Wednesday, April 24th from 1 - 3pm - North Jetty with live music & refreshments
As reported by the Port Report Spring Newsletter: Facilities Director Matt Klontz thanked community members. “The community’s interest illustrated a recognition that the Point Hudson
breakwater construction was not only generational but unique,” he said. “No other breakwater on the Salish Sea is like the Point Hudson, which uses closely-spaced piles to form a crib
to allow the stacking of rock while keeping the footprint at the base of the breakwater narrow.”
Sustaining Point Hudson as a functioning marina preserves the estimated 150 employees of Point Hudson businesses, including the 50 boater slips and the estimated 5,000 vessels that visit
each year. The marina is also home to Puget Sound Express, and a private boatyard, SEA Marine.

Earth Day is celebrated around the world on April 22nd each year. Locally, the Port Townsend Main Street Program staff and dedicated volunteers go out and spruce up downtown in preparation
for Spring. Projects can included extensive weeding at Adams Street Park, planting new shrubs, adding to the planters at Tyler Street Plaza and cleaning street furniture. Merchants
in the historic districts are invited to give special attention to their storefronts this week by tackling sidewalk litter and fixing up their planters or ordering flower baskets for
their stores. Thanks to Port Townsend Garden Center for supporting Port Townsend Main Street Earth Day Spring Clean-Up.

WSDA LOCAL FOOD SYSTEM INFRASTRUCTURE GRANTS - Deadline April 17th!!
The purpose of the Local Food System Infrastructure Grant program is to support local food supply chains and market access for farms, ranches, food processors, and food distributors.
The intention is to fund projects that expand and strengthen collaboration across linkages in the regional food supply chain. This includes planning, equipment, and facilities that
support on-farm post-harvest handling, aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storing, distribution, and sale of Washington grown, caught, and raised foods. Ultimately, this grant
program benefits Washington consumers by enhancing the resiliency of the local food supply.
* Owner-operated farm or ranch in Washington with less than $1 million in annual gross cash farm income in 2022
* A non-farm food business with less than $5 million dollars in annual revenue in 2022, and fewer than 200 employees
* A non-profit, tribal, or local government entity that is directly enabling small and midsize Washington farms, ranches, and food businesses
