It's National County Government Month!
This April, we celebrate the crucial role that counties play in shaping our communities and paving the way forward. Here in Washington State, counties stand as beacons of leadership,
innovation, and resilience. Our theme, "Path Forward," encapsulates our commitment to progress and prosperity for all. Counties across the state are at the forefront of initiatives
that foster economic growth, ensure public safety, drive democracy, promote health, maintain our infrastructure, protect our environment, and so much more. With a spirit of collaboration
and a dedication to serving our constituents, we are poised to chart a course onward and upward towards a brighter future!
Join us as we embark on this exciting journey of building stronger, more vibrant communities for generations to come!
A Message From WSAC President
The month of April recognizes and celebrates the service commitment of more than 3,000 counties across our nation. In Washington our 39 counties provide the local leadership to deliver
essential services, innovate and improve programs, and to solve problems for the benefit of our communities. Not every county’s needs are the same, but all counties share the passion
of serving their residents. From front-line customer service to road crews, permitting offices to sheriff’s deputies, county staff are the face of local government. With heartfelt gratitude
for the dedicated staff in all our counties, I thank you for your professional and compassionate service in county government.
