Elected Officials and Opioid Settlement Points of Contact,
The Johnson & Johnson opioid settlement deadline is May 11, 2024. The Attorney General’s Office strongly encourages you to join the settlement.
If all eligible cities and counties join as they did for the prior opioid settlements, cities and counties will receive $61.67 million in the June/July 2024 timeframe from the Johnson
& Johnson settlement.
To date, 21 cities and counties have returned the Participation Form.
The Settlement Administrator sent the email with the link to the pre-populated Participation Form <https://agportal-s3bucket.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com/uploadedfiles/JNJ%20WA%20Participation%20Form.p
df?VersionId=DJkdsf3i.NBTpz6LQT4wX9GVgMcfw9Hn> for the Johnson & Johnson opioid settlement to each eligible city and county on April 4.

the AGO presented on this settlement at WSAC and AWC meetings, and those PowerPoints are available via those organizations.
Including this pending settlement, the Washington local governments will receive $493.87 million from the opioid settlements. Opioid litigation continues, and additional settlements
are possible.
