of the state. He has been honored with the International Examiner’s Community Voice award for excellence in civic leadership and continues to do volunteer work in his community. Fong
serves on the Board of the WA State Ballpark Public Facilities District overseeing T-Mobile Park (home of the Seattle Mariners) and spent several years coaching youth basketball for
the Seattle Chinese Athletic Association. A native of Spokane, he received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Washington. He speaks Cantonese fluently.
