Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This joint project with the Port of Port Townsend includes elevating a segment of Gardiner Beach Road to accommodate the Port's reconstruction of the existing boat ramp. The County's contribution will be applied to county road reconstruction and resurfacing. This project is #13 on the 2024-2029 TIP (Transportation Improvement Program) and #12 on the 2024 Annual Construction Program. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The Port of Port Townsend's estimate for construction is $800,000. The County's $50,000 contribution to the project will come from the Road Fund. Recommendation: The Board is requested to sign one original of the Resolution to Create County Project. Department Contact: Eric Kuzma, 385-9167. Gardiner Beach Road Boat Ramp Repair x IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Gardiner Beach Road, County Road No. 502009, from M.P. 0.650 to M.P. 0.695, be improved as follows: This joint project with the Port of Port Townsend includes elevating a segment of Gardiner Beach Road to accommodate the Port's reconstruction of the existing boat ramp. The County's contribution will be applied to county road reconstruction and resurfacing. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget, and based on the County Engineer's estimate, is hereby made in the following amounts: PURPOSE APPROPRIATION Engineering $ 0 Right of Way Acquisition $ 0 Sub-Total $ 0 Construction: $ 50,000 TOTAL $ 50,000 X This project is included in the officially adopted annual road program as Item No. 12 The project is hereby made a part of the officially adopted annual road program in accordance with R.C.W. 36.81.130. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that: X The construction is to be accomplished by contract in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.020 et. seq. The construction is to be accomplished by County forces in accordance with R.C.W. 36.77.065 and W.A.C. 136.18. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS DAY OF 92024.
