HOUSING FUND BOARD
Regular Meeting — Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.
Commissioners' Chambers, Jefferson County Courthouse
1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 (Hybrid)
CALL TO ORDER: Jefferson County Commissioner Greg Brotherton called the Joint Jefferson
County/City of Port Townsend Housing Fund Board(HFB)to order. The following HFB members
participated in the meeting: Members Peggy Webster, Julia Cochrane and Viki Sonntag.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Member Cochrane moved to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes of
August 23, 2023, and Special Meeting Minutes of September 13, 2023 as presented. Member Webster
seconded the motion. The motion carried.
DISCUSSION re: Understanding the Challenges in the Financing of Low-Income Housing:
Member Webster explained the challenges of financing low-income housing and answered questions
posed by the HFB members.
DISCUSSION re: 2024 RFP Budget for 1590 and 5386 Funds: Finance Manager Judy Shepherd was
present to review the 2024 RFP Budget for 1590 and 5386 funds available.
COMMITTEE UPDATES: The HFB members received subcommittee updates.
NOTICE OF ADJOURNMENT: After closing remarks provided by the Board, Chair Brotherton
adjourned the meeting at 3:39 p.m. until the next regular meeting or special meeting as properly noticed.
