Dear Commissioners,
As a local business owner, I've been affected by building permit delays. These delays not only increase costs and cause missed deadlines for both homeowners and developers but disproportionately
impact smaller businesses like mine. Expedited permit processing is crucial for attracting new investments and facilitating the growth of existing businesses. Streamlining this process
would not only enhance efficiency but also bolster public confidence in local government. Without prompt action, I worry about the livelihoods of tradespeople in these industries, as
permit delays could lead to inevitable layoffs. In the trade industry, retaining employees and maintaining their interest in the trade is already a significant challenge. I request
immediate action to address this pressing issue.
