I write to ask you to OPPOSE the land use permit for the Gardiner Concrete Batch Plant by Discovery Materials, LLC, PO BOX 68697, Seattle, WA 98168.
Cement production is one of the most prolific contributors to poor air and water quality in the United States [1]. Our family has a member with chronic respiratory disease and we rely
on a ground well for pure drinking water. Introducing a major polluter into this region could have severe and lasting impacts on our health and wellbeing, that of our neighbors, and
vulnerable wildlife and fisheries.
Thank You for your hard work on behalf of Jefferson County residents.
