RE: Comment on application Termination Point SDP 2022-00019
Dear Mr. Ballard:
I have lived on Shine Road for 41 years. I am concerned that the runoff from the stormwater project may cause environmental damage to species that are in the area where the runoff enters
Squamish Harbor. Summer run chum, a threatened species could be in danger from the toxins in the runoff. Therefore, the stormwater runoff needs to be tested for any contaminants and
reported back to the county.
Furthermore, since the area has a history of landslides, the removal of vegetation is a concern. The county needs to take action to assure that the ground is stable enough to support
all of the new homes.
