There's still time to get in on the fun of GiveBIG! GiveBIG is Washington’s annual celebration of nonprofits that make our state a better place to live and play. And as we said yesterday, we might be biased, but we think WWRC does a great job at that. Just look at how we secured a record $120 million in last year’s Capital Budget. What does that mean? It means 105 more projects received funding. It means 32 Washington counties have more parks, trails, conservation land, and working farms. It means over 400 acres protected in the Mount Si, Middle Fork Snoqualmie, and West Tiger Mountain Natural Resources Conservation Areas outside Seattle (more info below!). That doesn't happen without our incredible supporters, like you Kathleen! But our work isn't over. Please GiveBIG to help us ensure more successes like this in 2024 and beyond. The properties provide crucial habitat within the Mountains to Sound Greenway. This National Scenic Byway is a 100-mile landscape of forests, wildlife habitat and open spaces along Interstate 90. While the area calls to recreation enthusiasts from nearby Seattle, this project preserves critical habitat and wildlife connections. It helps our animal neighbors to thrive alongside us. . <https://mcusercontent.com/0f4ebc0827fada7e62b54ea21/_compresseds/b6b4a2b4-aad0-65ce-8920-89f08d7f4c0e.jpg> Projects like this make our outdoors more accessible to all and are integral to a healthier, greener, and happier Washington.
