I'm writing in regard to the shellfish industry's interest in increasing production on Jefferson County tide lands. Increasing the density is not in the best interest of the health of our tide lands. This at the very least should require a full review and input of the citizens of the county. Intensive fish farming of any kind places a large burden on the health of the surrounding Ecosystem. At the very least a conditional use permit should be required, as in other countries. Chris Marrs Port Townsend, WA.
