I am providing some additional information on geoduck farm permitting decisions you will be making as part of the Jefferson County Shoreline Master Program (SMP). You seemed to have
some questions about the biological impacts of geoduck farms and the number of jobs created and the amount of taxes paid. I hope my attached letter will answer some of your questions.
Thank you for the work you do for all of the residents of Jefferson County. I also want to thank you for holding the public hearing on the SMP on January 8, 2024. The public did appreciate
your decision to provide them with an opportunity to be heard at the SMP hearing.
