Good afternoon.
I am writing this afternoon regarding the appearance and condition of our beloved community center here in Brinnon.
If you have not visited us in a while, our beautiful little town has become even more so!
Our two main street business owners, the Brinnon General Store, and the Halfway House Restaurant, have both been busy renovating their establishments.
Our entire landscape is changing, with that one exception, the true face of Brinnon, our Community Center. The place where we meet. Where we have our monthly Craft Show, which, I might
add, is growing in popularity. Where visiting guests come and ask for directions. Where new and prospective homeowners go to ask about the school, neighborhoods, etc. It's not a
very welcoming look.
It's time for a face-lift and some repairs to be made.
Brinnon is a popular tourist destination all year long. With Dosewallips park, Duckabush River, Hama Hama, Mt. Jupiter, Mt. Walker, and more. These visitors use our center, not only
for the restroom facilities, they book tours with Hood Canal Adventures, who rents part if the center. They also purchase goods from the craft show.
You see, we may not be as large as Port Townsend, however, we do have as many tourists. I can promise you that. Just come by on a weekend and you'll see.
We deserve the funds for our center. Help us get them.
I am an artist, and I would definitely love to rent a small room there if it were available for me to work in.
There are so many ways this center could pay for itself if it were remodeled and properly used! And make a profit!
I thank you for your time and hope to hear from you soon!!
