The RUC design includes 4 ways that mileage can be reported, and 2 of those disclose no individual travel information, just user-reported odometer reading.
No GPS, no OBT plug-in device is required for these methods.
WSTC has been working on this for more than 12 years. Inslee has been opposed. I wonder what Bob Furgeson’s position is.

As for distribution of the revenue to counties, it would be the same as gas tax. It would NOT be based the number of miles travelled in each county.

PS: Yes, WSF receives a share of the gas tax through several channels, but nothing like the funding that MVET previously provided.
