* Port Townsend Coalition Coordinator Holly Gumm (and other friends from Jefferson County Public Health) helped table the Job Fair at Chimacum Junior/Senior High School.
* The final Parent & Teen Wellness Night was held on May 30th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Participants from The Benji Project and OWL360/ The Nest heard from MCS Counseling’s Matt Poinsett
about how to recognize common mental health disorders, support youth mental health, and prevent suicide.

Coalition News
* Action Plans, Budgets, and Strategic Plans: All three coalitions are currently working on action plans and budgets for next year, as well as starting to look towards the next 5 years
of coalition work for the newest iterations of our strategic plans! You can get involved by discussing your ideas, goals, and concerns with your coalition coordinator (if you haven’t
already). Share your thoughts! Action plans and budgets will be sent in by June 15th.
* Summer Farmer’s Market Tabling: Chimacum ETC will be tabling at 3 Chimacum Farmer’s Markets this summer- June 23rd, July 21st, and August 25th. Are you available on one of those days
to help (10 AM - 2 PM)? Send Kara a message! We will be sharing materials and playing a fun prevention trivia game with farmer’s market patrons (a prize wheel will be involved).
* Wellness Column: Kara met with the editor of The Port Townsend Leader on May 30th and pitched the idea for our coalition wellness column. The editor, Meredith Jordan, is interested
in accepting any pieces on wellness (particularly topical writing relevant to youth wellness) that we submit, pending current news at the time. Our goal is to submit ONE wellness column
per month! Kara will be sending out a sign-up sheet (each active coalition member will be asked to please sign up for one month).
* Parent & Teen Wellness Nights: That’s a wrap on the series of Parent & Teen Wellness Nights at the Jefferson Teen Center! Our final Parent & Teen Wellness Night, a Youth Mental Health
Awareness and Suicide Prevention workshop with Matt Poinsett of MCS Counseling, was May 30th. While our turnout was low, it’s cause for celebration that we were able to offer these
great events to our community. Thank you Laura Tucker and Barb Jones for supporting these events!
