SUBJECT: Discussion: Jefferson Climate Action Goals
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
Today,Jefferson County adopted new greenhouse and carbon sequestration goals promulgated by the
Climate Action Committee.
ANALYSIS:
Now that those new, more ambitious goals have been adopted the County needs to discuss and update its
internal climate action goals.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Unknown but forest thinning projects should be budget neutral or modestly profitable.
RECOMMENDATION:
Discuss the County's climate action goals and provide direction to staff.
