Dear Matt Tyler and Parks and Recreation Advisory Board,
As proud members of the East Jefferson Little League, we are excited to announce that we have been
selected to host the majors baseball tournament for the Washington District 2 Little League conference
this year. This conference, which serves youth in Kitsap, Pierce, Mason, Jefferson, and Clallam Counties,
will take place beginning June 29, 2024, and last for several days. We are reaching out to you, esteemed
representatives of Jefferson County, to seek your support for this significant event.
The Washington District 2 Little League conference provides an invaluable opportunity for young
athletes to showcase their talent, develop crucial skills, and foster a sense of camaraderie and
sportsmanship. Beyond the athletic aspect, this conference plays a vital role in strengthening our
community bonds by bringing families together from various counties, creating lasting memories, and
promoting a spirit of unity.
Moreover, hosting such an event offers substantial economic benefits to our local businesses. With
families traveling from Kitsap, Pierce, Mason, Jefferson, and Clallam Counties, our community will
experience an influx of visitors patronizing local establishments, including hotels, restaurants, and shops.
This increased economic activity not only supports our local entrepreneurs but also contributes to the
overall growth and prosperity of Jefferson County.
In preparation for this conference, we kindly request your assistance in clearing the brush on Elkins Road
and the portion on Chimacum Road that lines the fields. A well-maintained road will ensure safe and
convenient access for participants and spectators alike. Additionally, we would greatly appreciate the
opportunity to borrow parking signs and traffic cones to facilitate smooth traffic flow and enhance the
overall experience for attendees.
Furthermore, we humbly ask for your support in the form of a donation totaling $2,500 to aid us in
preparing the fields and facilities for this prestigious event. Your generous contribution will directly
contribute to the success of the conference and enable us to provide a first-class experience for all
participants.
We firmly believe that with your support, we can make this year's Washington District 2 Little League
conference a resounding success, not only for the young athletes but for our entire community. Your
partnership in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated and will have a lasting, positive impact on the
lives of countless children and families.
Thank you for considering our request. We look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with you and
showcase the best of Jefferson County hospitality during this memorable event.
Warm regards,
Gavin Rogers, President
East Jefferson Little League
