Last November we sent an email about Iris, a local mom who needs support reuniting with her two young children who are stuck on the border.
The good news is that we have found amazing legal help for Iris and her sons, but legal matters take time, and Iris desperately needs more financial support to continue paying for the
care of her sons on the border until she is hopefully able to be reunited with them soon.
We are all working as hard as we can to reunite Iris and her boys - please help us support her until we can make that a reality. Thank you for your care and generosity!

Here is what we shared last November about her situation:
Iris is a local community member and a US citizen. She was born here but grew up in Mexico. Iris had to flee for her life from domestic violence and cartel violence, leaving her 5 year
old and 2 year old sons at the border in care of a family friend. The children, who are not US citizens, have been at the border wall for over three months and are exhausted, scared
and missing their mom.
The cartel supports her abuser who was a criminal gang member in the US and was deported. He is a drug user who is actively stalking her family in Mexico and searching for her sons.

El pasado noviembre enviamos un correo electrónico sobre Iris, una madre local que necesita ayuda para reunirse con sus dos hijos pequeños que están atrapados en la frontera.
La buena noticia es que hemos encontrado una ayuda legal increíble para Iris y sus hijos, pero los asuntos legales llevan su tiempo, e Iris necesita desesperadamente más apoyo financiero
para seguir pagando el cuidado de sus hijos en la frontera hasta que, con suerte, pueda reunirse pronto con ellos.

Esto es lo que compartimos el pasado noviembre sobre su situación:
Iris es miembro de la comunidad local y ciudadana estadounidense. Nació aquí pero creció en México. Iris tuvo que huir para salvar su vida de la violencia doméstica y la violencia de
los cárteles, dejando a sus hijos de 5 y 2 años en la frontera al cuidado de un amigo de la familia. Los niños, que no son ciudadanos estadounidenses, llevan más de tres meses en el
muro fronterizo y están agotados, asustados y echan de menos a su mamá.
El cártel apoya a su agresor, que fue miembro de una banda criminal en Estados Unidos y fue deportado. Es un consumidor de drogas que acosa activamente a su familia en México y busca
a sus hijos.
