I called the Commissioners’ Office this afternoon, and evidence suggests that’s still the case. Either way, when the next iteration is posted for public review, there will be a comment opportunity before the Board takes action. With respect to your second question/comment, that sounds like an accurate description to me. For your third question, I would say that we haven’t developed a plan yet, but I would assume that it’ll be at least a week, if not two weeks or more, between the time we make an updated SMP version available and when we schedule an agenda item for the Board to take action. Based on the information that you have on the SMP webpage it sounds like things are busy for you and the DCD this summer. I know there is some rewriting happening with SMP to streamline the verbiage and make it clearer. However, while we are awaiting next steps, I wanted to confirm that the county is still taking public comment on the old version of the SMP? From the website it sounds like you are not making substantial changes but it sounds like there may be a few changes along the way? Also, have you developed a plan for how much time you will provide the public when the updated version of the SMP is ready for review?
