I have written the following to DNR, and want to share my comments
with you as I'm not able to attend the June 17 hearing.

Dear DNR,
I am writing to express my strong support for your proposed expansion
of the Dabob Bay Natural Area. I have had the opportunity to visit
this area a few times over the past decade. This is a rare and
spectacular forest area that provides habitat for wildlife and is
essential for clean water and many shellfish. I request that DNR
please include the "West Dabob" area that was in the original request
from Jefferson County and will protect murrelet habitat and forest
connectivity to the existing Natural Area. I am unable to attend the
public hearing, so want to voice my strong support in this manner.
