Our Housing Action Teams (HATs) will not be meeting for the summer. From here until the end of August, HSN staff and advocates will be prioritizing our efforts on community engagement
opportunities that get the survey into the hands of our local workers, businesses, and home-seekers. This does NOT mean we are pausing work on projects that are already underway: Short
Term Rental Regulation Workgroups, Comprehensive Plan tracking + engagement, etc. If you are actively working on a housing project, please continue to use HSN staff and resources! We
just won’t be actively holding HAT meetings starting in June.

More Homes Means Less Pets in Shelters

At least that’s the argumented being presented by a fourth grade class at Salish Coast Elementary. Our Communication Strategist Eric Jones teamed up with Kellen Lynch from Olympic Housing
Trust to present them with some other reasons more housing is important, as well as the different roles local governments and nonprofit organizations can play in creating housing.
We were grateful for the invite and had fun talking about housing in a different way, but we were extra tickled to receive this stack of essays and illustrations about our presentation.
