WSAC Members,
As previously noted, the Board of Directors has called a Special Meeting of the membership to consider changes to the WSAC bylaws. The meeting will occur on June 26th at the Yakima Area
Arboretum from 1 to 3 p.m. While we encourage those who are able, to attend in person, we know that schedules and travel time will make that difficult, so we will have a Zoom option
available. As a reminder, if more than a quorum of your county's membership is planning to attend, you may want to notice this as a public meeting for your council or commission.
The agenda and proposed amendments are attached in a marked-up document recommended by the Bylaws Committee. A preamble to the Bylaws is provided to capture the intention of the Bylaws
committee as they worked through these sections. Next week, you will receive a plain-language narrative of each change and its effect to ensure a clear understanding of each amendment.
While members of the Board and I have met with many of you and have several more counties scheduled prior to the 26th to discuss these amendments, please feel free to reach out directly
if you have any questions.
Regards,
Derek Young | Interim Executive Director
