WHEREAS, Jefferson County has received a petition (Exhibit "A") to name a private road,
as shown on the attached map (Exhibit liB") and survey recorded at Auditor's File No. 397683,
either Turnbuckle Lane or Turnagain Lane or Jacobs Lane; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner is a property owner on this road; and
WHEREAS, the petitioner wishes to establish this road name, pursuant to the Jefferson
County 911 Emergency Locator System Ordinance Number 2-0401-91, to allow for addressing
along the road; and
WHEREAS, research has shown that there are currently four (4) addresses assigned at
milepost 1.65 right on Hazel Point Road; and
WHEREAS, notification was sent to agencies and adjacent property owners; and
WHEREAS, Fire Protection District #2 and Jeff Com support all three choices; and
WHEREAS, an adjacent property owner prefers the second choice of Turnagain Lane and
petitioner agrees that is an acceptable choice; and
WHEREAS, no negative responses were received for the second name choice of
Turnagain Lane; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the road be named Turnagain Lane.
