Susan Meyer announced she will retire at the end of the year. You can read the full article on the news in the Spokesman-Review <https://watransit.us12.list-manage.com/track/click?u=6c7 0c3a1d76c22fe2ef2a8361&id=a26483ab3c&e=850008f825> . “It has been a profound privilege to be the chief executive officer at Spokane Transit,” Meyer said in a statement. “Nineteen years ago, I didn’t expect my career would take me to the public sector or to transit, but I am grateful that it did. I found the perfect place to serve the community I love alongside people who are passionate about our mission.” A note on behalf of the Assocation by the Executive Director: ________________________________ Susan has been a stalwart CEO at STA and a passionate advocate for the greater Spokane community and public transit throughout the state and country. For our part here at WSTA, she has been a steadfast WSTA Board member since she began her stint at STA. Susan served as a WSTA Board member since she started as CEO, and during that time, she served as an Officer of the Assocation from 2008 to 2013, including as Board President in 2012 & 2013. As a former Officer, she has served on or represented the Association on several committees and work groups. This includes serving on the Officer Nominating Committee as a Past President and assisting in selecting and guiding the future of our Association's leadership over the last decade.
