Mark your calendars, our Fall Celebration is set for October 17, 2024 at Stoup Brewing Capitol Hill, and we want to celebrate 35 years of the WWRC and WWRP with you! In the past 35 years, the Coalition has successfully leveraged over $2 billion in state, local, and private dollars through the WWRP grant program for over 1,700+ parks, trails, wildlife habitat, and working lands projects including over 375K acres of land preserved! But there is more work to be done! There were a total of 190 WWRP applications for the 2025 grant round with a grant request total of $181.95 million. Overall, including matching funds, this funding would leverage $352.6 million more towards conservation, recreation, and preservation in the outdoors. WA State Parks will provide a complimentary campsite and all camping equipment for a 3-day or 2-day camping trip at Larrabee or Birch Bay State Parks. The Department of Natural Resources, King County, and the City of North Bend used this WWRP grant to develop and improve two key put-in locations and construct one key take-out location for a popular half-day kayaking and rafting run on the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River: putting in at Granite Flats and Mine Creek halfway up the Middle Fork Valley and taking out at Tanner Landing in North Bend.
