Hello,
I am a resident of South Jefferson county with a strong concern over the planned resort in Brinnon.
For all the valid, reasons that have been well documented over the course of a decade—yet for some reason, never given credence.
The development company has started town hall style meetings in Brinnon to build support for the project. Often touting it as a certainty—complete with their fake website offering any
number of idyllic services that flatly don't exist (ever heard of the Hood Canal cod..? Me either).
What I would like to know is 1) Is this project a certainty. Because it will destroy a fragile area with zero infrastructure and push out residents already struggling to keep their homes.
And 2) barring the commissioners' ability to act on the behalf of their constituency, what recourse do we—as residents being asked to live with this opportunistic greed-grab—have in
fighting its development?
