HomeMy WebLinkAboutM06242024 CSC Regular Meeting Minutes Jefferson County Civil Service Commission Tuesday, June 24, 2024, 2:00 p.m. Jefferson County Courthouse – Commissioners’ Chambers 1820 Jefferson Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368 Hybrid meeting: Virtual and In-Person Members Bob Gebo Chair Ken Przygocki Member Dan Taylor Member Steve Richmond Chief Examiner Kristen Bennett Secretary Call to Order: Chair Bob Gebo called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. in the presence of Member Dan Taylor, and Secretary Kristen Bennett. Member Ken Przygocki participated remotely. Public Comment: No comments received. Approval of Minutes: Member Przygocki moved to approve the regular meeting minutes of April 23, 2024, as presented. Member Taylor seconded the Motion. The Motion carried. Old Business: 1. Discussion of retirement of current Chief Examiner and status of advertisement for Chief Examiner: Secretary Bennett placed advertisement in Port Townsend Leader. Currently no Letters of Interest had been received. Discussion on replacement of Chief Examiner position with Human Resources member. Member Taylor moved to table discussion. Chair Gebo seconded the Motion. The Motion carried. 2. Term Expiration of Member Ken Przygocki as of 06/05/2024: Advertisement will run July 3rd in Port Townsend leader. Member Ken Przygocki will submit Letter of Interest to continue to serve on the Commission. 3. Request to use National Testing Network in addition to Public Safety Testing for eligibility scores- Andy Pernsteiner: Sheriff Pernsteiner requested to add NTN in addition to the Commissions use of PST. After discussion they agreed to table discussion for meeting in lieu of more research into the National Testing Network. Member Przygocki moved to hold a Special meeting. Member Taylor seconded the Motion. The Motion Carried. 4. Amend Rule 4-Classification; Section 2. Classification Schedule; (1) c. Support Services: Member Taylor moved to amend the Civil Service Rules with the new classifications. Member Przygocki seconded the Motion. The Motion passed. Closing Remarks: No Closing remarks.
