In 1997 you made me leave the STATE for truancy.
Yesterday when I reported a 3am trespass, I was dismissed by Colby.
Your oath is to protect and serve, which you are falling well short of in South County.
It is negligent to let offenders like Lefty and Raven run the streets of Brinnon with NO support from law enforcement.
In the last week Lefty beat Mike Loring in our parking lot (Brinnon General Store) at 7 am last Friday, with tourists EVERYWHERE. Our 70 year old FEMALE employee had to break up the
fight.
We had trespass paperwork served, and were cased TWO nights later across the street at the DoseGrind
I have proof of them coming through Piccinni, to Johnstons, over my neighbors fence, headed for either McKays or DoseGrind. They parked out of view after casing 2 trips around the
block. My neighbors RAN them down at Hoffmans road and confronted them.
When officer Colby took that report, he stated they don’t drive a white dodge and was reluctant to take the report.
He then decided it was of NO importance to talk with me in regards to my report, due to the COLOR of the truck.
When I finally did speak with Colby, he sounded much like Judge Mac had given him a dialogue…. Or you?
“I have never seen them in a white dodge and I will need surveillance showing their face in the white dodge”
1. My neighbor CHASED them down
2. EVERYONE knows they have the white dodge too ( it was full of yard tools that were stolen from Quilcene Friday with THEM driving it)
3. Colby showed NO interest in looking at my tape, let alone taking a report.
Instead he mentioned rescuing Ravens kittens and if I found anything to give him a call back
I let him know I would be reaching out to his supervisor.

A new business owner in town.
When the Governor mandated healthcare workers to 2021 vaccines, I retired.
I then spent 3 years and 220000$ of my RETIREMENT to start my coffee stand.
I worked through 3 years of permitting with the county for S. County (impossible but I succeeded), 150000$ septic at the store.
I have to haul my water and grey tank across the street.
I have fought tooth and nail the last three years and my family’s livelihood is on the line. My safety, as well as my community is in jeopardy. I refuse to accept your dialog of law
support in S. County.
I feel threatened Mr. Noel, and that is not good for ANYONE
Officer Colby’s behavior was unacceptable and reflects very poorly on our officers.
I have never been dismissed in such an unacceptable manor.
My husband patrolled Brinnon himself Friday night, after being dismissed by officer Colby.
The choices you are making by not having a sheriff in Brinnon 24/7 puts the citizens in a VERY dangerous position.
Ask yourself, Mr Noel
What’s the better alternative
A sheriff in south county or arresting the law abiding citizens (and largest tax contributor of south county) for protecting their businesses?
If I were in your position, I’d take a pay cut before I let my citizens go unprotected.
Hopefully our next encounter with Lefty and Raven goes well, if not maybe my estranged mom (Karen French)and I can have a block party….
Maybe you should go back to the good ol days, where you’d remove even a teenager from the state for truancy…
