On July 15, 2024 the Board of County Commissioners were pleased to reappoint you to the Ferry
Advisory Committee. Your term will expire on July 15, 2028.
Tom Thiersch is your contact for the Ferry Advisory Committee regarding meeting dates and
times. If you have any questions, please email him at TomThiersch.FCA@gmail.com.
Washington State has mandated Open Public Meetings Act and Open Public Records Act training
for government staff and officials. Newly elected or reappointed members of Jefferson County
Advisory Boards and Commissions are also required to take this training. Please use this link to
access the MANDATORY training: http://www.co.jefferson.wa.us/289/Open-Government-
Training(press the control button+ left click on the mouse). (Username and Password is: public)
Alternatively, you can go to the County's website homepagc at www.co.jefferson.wa.us click on
"How Do 1 . . ."and click on"Open Government Training" under the 'Find' section. Note that
there are also Records Management and Retention trainings that we ask that you also take.
Once you have completed each training, please print and sign a certificate. The County will need a
copy of your certificate to show that you have completed each course. Please mail or email to the

You have 90 days from your reappointment date to complete this training. You must complete the
training every 4 years. If you serve on more than one advisory hoard you only need to complete the
training once and provide one copy of your signed certificate.
We feel certain you will make a worthwhile contribution in this service to the community and we
appreciate your willingness to devote time to this Board.

SUBJECT: ADVISORY BOARD REAPPOINTMENT re: Ferry Advisory Committee;
Unexpired Term on June 6, 2024; Nicole Gauthier
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Ferry Advisory Committee (FAC) had one unexpired position which expired on June 6, 2024 for the
Commerce position. An ad was placed in the paper to advertise this position.
ANALYSIS:
Board member, Nicole Gauthier, has submitted her application to continue to serve on the Ferry Advisory
Committee.
RECOMMENDATION
Ferry Advisory Committee members and County staff recommend that the Board approve the following:
Nicole Gauthier - Four (4) Year Term expiring July 15, 2028.
