On July 8, 2024 the Board of County Commissioners were pleased to appoint you to the Local Emergency
Planning Committee(LEPC). You will be serving a two-year term that will expire on July 8,2026.

Washington State has mandated Open Public Meetings Act and Open Public Records Act training for
government staff and officials. Newly elected or reappointed members of Jefferson County Advisory
Boards and Commissions are also required to take this training. Please use this link to access the

Once you have completed each training, please print and sign a certificate.The County will need a copy of

You have 90 days from your reappointment date to complete this training. You must complete the training
every 4 years. If you serve on more than one advisory board you only need to complete the training once
and provide one copy of your signed certificate.

your willingness to devote time to this Board.

STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
On July 8, 2024, The Board of County Commissioners received a briefing from Bradley Brooks, DEM
Planning Coordinator, regarding the establishment of a Local Emergency Planning Committee (LF.PC), and
approval of By-Laws and Appointment of members.
ANALYSIS:
The Board of County Commissioner's approved the following appointments for Andrew Stockton,
Apple Martine, David Pederson, Dwayne A. Wendorf, Gary Maxfield,Joe Nole, Thomas A. Olson,
Pete Brummel (Chair), Tim Callister and Timothy M. McKcrn (Vice Chair) beginning on July 8, 2024
and extending for a two-year term; July 8, 2024 —July 8,2026.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve the letters for newly appointed Local Emergency Planning Committee:
Andrew Stockton—The American Red Cross
Apple Martine—Jefferson County Public Health
David Pederson—Taylor Shellfish Farms
Dwayne A. Wendorf—Port Townsend Paper Company, LLC
Gary Maxfield -Jefferson Transit
