Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's Et Con's: This change order includes the difference in cost to increase the size of the Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) ductwork; increase width of a door within the Chem. building; and to re-location the influent piping and meter vault. The changes from the original plan were done 1 ) to accommodate the review comments during the material submittal process of the FRP piping package; 2) to provide a door size which would accommodate removal and replacement of the pressure water storage tank; and 3) to accommodate the future expansion of the wastewater treatment plant influent headworks. Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The amount for Change Order No. 2 is $37,395.79 (includes 9.1% Washington State Sales Tax). The contract amount will increase from $10,063,123.15 to $10,100,518.94. The project is funded at 100% by the Department of Commerce. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order No. 2 with Interwest Construction, and return two originals to Public Works for further processing.
