Quarter two 2024 JCFM utilized LTAC funds to pay for advertising in the Leader and PDN visitor guides,music
and kid’s activities for the Chimacum Farmers Market.Our ½page advertisement in the Waterside Magazine was
published and distributed on ferries throughout Washington and into British Columbia.We are using other grant
funds to promote our farmers markets via social media and local print advertisements geared toward local visitors.
On average,we count between 425 and 550 daily shoppers at the Chimacum Farmers Market.As many as half of
these shoppers are visiting Jefferson County.Market activities such as music and kids’activities help bring
shoppers back to the market,making Jefferson County more of a destination for tourism.Our regional
advertisements increase awareness of our farmers markets.
