In times of uncertainty and change, we all look to comforting constants to provide us solace and respite. Whether it’s walking the dog at a local park or escaping into the wilderness on a backpacking trip, these opportunities to commune with nature are a unique and special part of what makes Washington such a wonderful place to live and play. Robust funding for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is essential to ensuring that legacy continues into the future. The WWRP remains the largest source for conservation and recreation funding in Washington. We need your help to ensure it continues to fund critical projects all across the state. Sign on to tell the Governor and Legislature that you support $150 million for Washington's great outdoors today! <http://smartmailerclick.bisglobal.net/act_linkClick.aspx?sm_guid=Nzc2NzQ1fDc5MzUzNjg 5fDF8amVmZmJvY2NAY28uamVmZmVyc29uLndhLnVzfDcyMzcxMTl8aHR0cHM6Ly93aWxkbGlmZXJlY3JlYXRpb24ub3JnL3N1cHBvcnQtd2FzaGluZ3Rvbi1zdGF0ZXMtb3V0ZG9vcnMtYnktc2lnbmluZy1vbi98MHwwfDB8MTE2MXwwfDB8fDc3MTIyNnwx0> <https://media2.charityengine.net/WF/_transactionServerFiles/1161/WWRC2023FallCelebration-PhotocreditPatrikBangle(56).jpg> 35 years of the WWRC! Registration is now open for our Fall Celebration, set for October 17! We want to celebrate 35 years of the WWRC and WWRP with you at Stoup Brewing Capitol Hill! In the past 35 years, the Coalition has successfully leveraged over $2 billion in state, local, and private dollars through the WWRP grant program for over 1,700+ parks, trails, wildlife habitat, and working lands projects including over 375K acres of land preserved! But there is more work to be done! There were a total of 190 WWRP applications for the 2025 grant round with a grant request total of $181.95 million. Overall, including matching funds, this funding would leverage $352.6 million more towards conservation, recreation, and preservation in the outdoors. We hope you show your support and share some cake with us on October 17!
