The piles used in the construction of ,this bridge shall all be of old grovath,peeled ceda.ro They shall be straight,sound and solid. in every particular. No pile ma.y be used V1h1Ch is less than ten( IO) inches a,t the smaller end. All piles to be cut off to a grade and height a.s given by the engineer in charge. They shall be 4"" X I2u X 32' and placed on the caps as shown on the plan. The:~r shall be toe-nailed. to the caps by tyro six(6) inch steel nails to each stringer a,t each cap. ` The floor of this bride shall be made of sound old growth red or yellow fir plank,free from wind sh~~,kes a,nd pitch seams . Planks shall be of merchantable lumber,uniformly three inches in thiekness,a.nd twelve( T2 inches in width,a.nd sixteen(I6) feet in length.. Final payments for said work shall be made ~rithin thirty days after the entire v~rork ha.s been completed,and approved by the county Engineer and accepted by the County Commissioners.
