The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Dalgleish with all
members present for the purpose of hearings. Mark McCready represented the
Assessors Office.
FRANK O. HOLDEN,BE 84-5-LO, Parcel #953700324. Mr. Holden did not appear before
the Board. Chairman Dalgleish read his petition. He had purchased his property
in September 1983 for $68,000. , it is assessed at $88,000. Mr. McCready agreed
that the purchase price more accurately reflects the value of this property and
his office would agree to a valuation of $67,650.
LINCOLN F. ROGERS/ANNA C. BROWN, BE 84-6-R, Parcel #996400408. Chairman Dalgleish
read the petition. Ms. Brown's trailer and lot have been assessed for $59,625.
She had it appraised in February 1983 for an PHA loan and it was valued at $50,500.
!-1r. 11cCready explained that it is a problem assessing mobile homes and since
it was appraised by someone) that could be a fair value. However, he pointed out'
that the land value of $13,000. is equitable to the other lots so if any deductions
are made he r~commends they be made on the mobile home. The Board will take this
under advisement and make a site inspection of the property.
LINCOLN F. ROGERS/ANN BUECHLER " BE 84-7-LO, Parcel #962114301. Mr. Rogers appeared
before'the Board to represent Ms. Buechler,- and was duly sworn in. Chai rman
Dalgleish read a letter explaining the purpose of the petition and also authorization
for Mr. 'Rogers to represent Ms. Buechler. Mr. Rogers distributed maps of the area
ande~plained some of the'problems. These lots are valufid at $1,000. each. He
feels 'that they are worth $500. to $800. per lot depending on their availabil ity
to water, electricity, view and aesthetics. Mr. McCready produced maps indicating
different sales to show lot value. The Board will make a site inspection and take
thi s under advisement. '
.
LINCOLN F. ROGERS/MEL R. RAMBERT, BE 84-8-LO, Parcel #962114405. This ~arcel is
contained in the same lots considered above, and will be considered at the same time.
H.C. RUETER, BE 84-9-LO, Parcel #962110908. Mr. Rueter did not appear before the
~oard 'so Chairman Dalgleish read his petition. His lots are assessed at $3,000.,
he feels they are worth $1,500. because they are located in an unacltessible swamp.
~1r. McCready responded that he hasn't personally viewed these lots and is 1 ooki ng
forward to viewing them on the site inspection. The Board will make a site inspec-
tion and take this under advisement.
CHESTER R. HILL, BE 84-10-LO, Parcel #942091307. Mr. Hill appeared before the
Board and was duly sworn in. He purchased his lots sight unseen at a Sheriff's
sale for $3,500. They are assessed at $4,0~ He feels his property is worthless
because they are located in a creek bottom and are unsuable. Mr. McCready explained
that Mr. Dorn had appraised this area and this property had already been reduced.
To determine true value it would need inspection and determine if there are any
stipulations determining usability. The Board will make a site inspection and
take this under advisement.

SIDNEY P. LOBERG, BE 84-l1-LO, Parcel #953700404. Mr. Loberg had advised the Board
that he could not attend his hearing so Chairman Dalgleish read his petition. His
par.cel is assessed for $35,000. He went to list his property for sale and was
advised that it wouldn't sell for over $20,000. because it was too small for water
and sewage disposal. He would accept a valuation of $23,000. Mr. McCready responded
by presenting a map of the area and explained that although the property looks
large, the actual meander line does limit the depth of the property and it possi~y
doesn't have enough square footage for both well and septic. He recommended gettlng
advise from the Health Department. The Board will take this under consideration
and make a site inspection.
