Dougl as Archie Barber, Jr. James A; DeLeo Chairman Vice-Chairman Member Alternate M I NUT E S / February 28, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dalgleish with all members present. Racnael Nathenson from the Planning Department, Mark McCready and Assessor Jack Westerman represented the Assessors Office. The.purpose of the meeting was to review the Cederholm Villa portion of the Thorndyke Slide area. Mr. George H. Nichols of Seattle had complained that although he is within the moratorium, his taxes had increased. The Board had taken this matter into consideration in 1983 and on September 14, 1983 nad issued a directive to the Assessor to reduce the lots in this area by 50%. However, the Assessor had no knowledge of receiving this order and had therefore not taken th'is action. The original order and the copy of this order were both found .... .t in the Board of Equalization files so the Assessor received the order today, Feb- ruary 2, 1984. . The Assessor expressed his opinion that a 50% reduction was too high as upper por- tions of these lots are buildable. After discussion and identification of boundary lines on the maps it was discovered that the Board had based their decision on a misintrepretation on the map covering the moratorium area. . ~ It was decided that Mr. Westerman will call the .Revenue Department to get advise on how to handle the technical end of making the necessary changes and the Board will meet with him again Tuesday, March 6, 1984 at 10:00 a.m. Having no further business, the meeting adjourned. . .'
