The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Dalgleish with all Board
members present, for the purpose of hearings.
BE 84-26-R, DONNA V. ROBERTSON, 021321056. Ms. Robertson did not appear before the
Board, so Chairman Dalgleish read her petition. Her two lots, less improvements
are valued at $92,000. She feels a fair value to be $28,000. for one lot, and
$21,000. for the other, because one of the lots can be only used for a septic system
due to soil conditions. Mark McCready presented two comparables and suggested
reducing the lot used for the septic system to $23,000. The Board will take this
under advisement and make a site inspection.
-BE 84-27-LO, RONALD W. EASTMAN, 001061002. Mr. Eastman appeared before the Board
and was duly sworn in. His 6.2 acres are assessed for $64,350. He feels a fair
value to be $49,500. The property is listed with H. J. Carroll for $55,000. It
is high bank, and includes no tndelands. Mr. McCready presented three comparables,
and recommended reducing the property to $55,000. because of lack of depth. The
Board will take this under advisement, and make a 'site inspection.
BE 84-29-R, WILLIAN & NGAIRE HIXSON, 010324008. Mr. and Mrs. Hixson appeared before
the Board and were duly sworn in. Their 9.29 acres is valued at $I44,OOO. They
feel a fair value would be $130,600. , and also feel their actual acreage is 6.25.
By Mr. Hixsons' measurements he has 400 front feet, and no beach access. Mark Mc-
Cready explained how the land was assessed and gave three comparables for the area.
The Board will make a site inspection and take under advisement.
BE 84-30-LO, NORMAN T. WORTHINGTON, 101333001. Mr. Worthington appeared before the
Board and was duly sworn in. His 8.44 acrea are valued at $180,000. ~e feels a
fair value to be $100,000. His 1980 valuation was $135,000. Mark McCready had no
comparables for the area that he felt applicable, and said a site inspection would
help determine the value. The Board will take this under advisement and make a
site inspection.
Having no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
