The notice on BoCC Consent Agenda, Item 14, for Monday, Aug 12, indicates that the appointment of a new Drainage District commissioner will be effective through Dec 31, 2026.

However, the term for Position #1 ends at the time of the Special Election in February 2026,
as stated in:
RCW 85.38.070 <http://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=85.38.070>
(5) Whenever a vacancy occurs in the governing body of a special district, the legislative authority of the county within which the special district, or the largest portion of the special
district, is located, shall appoint a district voter to serve until a person is elected, at the next special district general election
Should this date be corrected prior to appointment by BoCC ?
