Oeleo Chairman Vice-Chairman Member Alternate M I NUT E S 22 August 1986 The Board of Equalization convened at the Courthouse at 8:15 A.M. on Friday, the 22nd of August for the purpose of traveling to the Clearwater area for a hearing and inspection trip on a Petition. BOE-86-057RI Parcel No. 412-183-003: Joseph and Diane Novak appeared at the hearing and inspection at 1~15 P.M. in the Clearwater area. Board Members Archie Barber and David Douglas were accompanied by Mark McCready fron the Assessor's Office. The petitioners The Petiti oners stated that they felt the ,tmprovements were over valued, and they di d not contest the valuation of the land. It was pointed out that a garage and carport on the property burned down a year age. An inspection of the land indicated that the two parcels of land owned by the Novaks (Parcel No. 412-183-003 and 412-183-005) were not 50' and 150' wide as specified in the legal descriptions held by the Assessor's office and further, that that a mobile home and shed attached thereto were not on the Novak properties. Mark McCready checked the buildings on the petitioned parcel to validate the values currently and the County group inspected the house. The current valuations on these improvements are: HOUSEQ51 ,550 for a total valuation of FRUIT SHED 41,100 $56,000. The basic CARPORT f2,467 CHICKEN COOP #432 valuation represents a 15% depreciation. It was agreed that the Assessor's Office would initiate further research on the two parcels~ evaluation and make a subsequent recommendation to the Board on potential adjustments thereto.
