DE LEO CHAIRMAN VICE-CHAIRMAN MEMBER ALTERNATE MINUTES OCTOBER 21, 1991 The Board of Equalization convened at 9:30 a.m. with Chairman AC. Dalgleish, Vice- Chairman David G. Douglas, Member Archie Barber, Jr. and Clerk Julie Matthes present. Most of the day was spent in decision making. The Board met with Assessor Jack Westerman, Assessment Operations Manager Jeff Chapman, and Deputy Assessors Robert Kingley and Bob Shold in the afternoon regarding Port Ludlow. DETERMINATIONS Myrtle G. Corey BOE:91-012-R PN:602 302 013 The minutes of August 9, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on September 5, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $14,425; the improvements were reduced Crom $69,400 to $54,530. This change was based on the Cact that the Assessor documented on September 5, 1991 the adjusted dimension as determined at the site inspection. This warranted a new valuation on the improvements only. ThereCore the total valuation oC the property is reduced Crom $83,825 to $68,955. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. The minutes of August 9, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on September 5, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation of $32,400 and to reduce the improvements from $1,255,000 to $512,000. Therefore the total valuation of the parcel is reduced from $1,287,400 to $544,000. The rationale for the adjusted valuation appears appropriate and legal in accordance with letters from the Petitioner, the Department of Revenue and the Jefferson County Assessor. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Marvin and Elaine Weber BOE:91-011-R PN:993 000 036 The minutes of August 9, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on September 5, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land and site improvements valuation at $11,500; the improvements were reduced from $22,895 to $19,170. This adjustment was due to depreciation based on the site inspection of improvements as identified in the minutes of August 19, 1991. The total valuation of the property is $30,670. Briggs BOE:91-013-R PN:989 705 802 The minutes of August 9, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on September 5, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $44,300 to $43,060. The Board sustained the land improvements at $75,000. The Board recommends a change in the land value due to an error in calculations on the Assessor's Computer Field sheet. This changes the total valuation of the property from $119,300 to $118,060. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Chairman Dalgleish noted that the amended minutes of August 9, 1991 were read by the Board Members. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to approve the Minutes of AUGUST 9, 1991 as corrected. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by unanimous vote. Chairman Dalgleish noted that the minutes of August 13 and 27, 1991 were read by the Board Members. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to approve the Minutes of AUGUST 13 and 27, 1991 as presented.
