The Board of Equalization convened at 9:30 a.m. with Chairman A.c. Dalgleish, Vice-
Chairman David G. Douglas, Member Archie Barber, Jr. and Clerk Julie Matthes present. The
day was spent in decision making.

was reviewed.
MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $20,000.
The Board determined that the Assessor's valuation was fair and equitable.
Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a
unanimous vote.

MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $6,000. The
Board determined that the Assessor already has made adjustments for the
slide area and the valuation is consistent with land use code 7125. Member
Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous
vote.

MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $18,190
to $11,370. This 15.16 acres is designated as Bald Eagle Nest Territory
Management Pkm #156 and as such the Board reduces the valuation 50%
of land use code 7585. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion
which carried by a unanimous vote.

MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $67,500. The
Bald Eagle Nest Territory Management Pkm #156 designates this area as
selective cut, permitting three building sites. Therefore the valuation
appears appropriate. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion
which carried by a unanimous vote.

The minutes of September 10, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data
was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 18, 1991
and a Deputy Assessor was present.
MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $37,125
to $2,500. This is based on neighborhood code 3250 and land code 1278,
as a non-building site that provides access or utilities to abutting property.
Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous
vote.

was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 18, 1991
and a Deputy Assessor was present.
MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation from $41,125
and the improvements at $12,575 for a total of $53,700. The Assessor's
method and calculation are appropriate. Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the
motion which carried by a unanimous vote.

MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $9,660.
There is no evidence presented to indicate that the Assessor's deviated from
accepted methods of land valuation. Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the
motion which carried by a unanimous vote.

reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 28, 1991 and
a Deputy Assessor was present.
MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $46,000 and
improvements at $98,945 for a total valuation of $144,945. The appeUant
was satisfied with the method used in computing the valuation by the
Assessor. Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a
unanimous vote.

The minutes of August 7, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was
reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on August 28, 1991 and a
Deputy Assessor was present.
MOTION
Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $40,900 and
improvements at $57,435 for a total valuation of $98,335. The appeUant
was not aware of the procedure used by the Assessor in determining his
land valuation. by the Assessor. Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion
which carried by a unanimous vote.
Vice-Chairman Douglas stated that the Master Schedule shows that the Board has made
determinations on 58 of 132 petitions. There are 74 determinations remaining. These
decisions will probably take five more workdays.

There being no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned until 9:00 a.m. on
November 26, 1991.
