DE LEO CHAIRMAN VICE-CHAIRMAN MEMBER ALTERNATE MINUTES D E C E M B E R 1 7, 1 9 9 1 The Board of Equalization convened at 9:30 a.m. with Chairman A.C. Dalgleish, Vice- Chairman David G. Douglas, Member Archie Barber, Jr. and Clerk Julie Matthes present. The day was spent in decision making on determinations. DETERMINATIONS Daniel B. Forbes BOE: #91-112-LO PN: 995 700 018 The minutes of October 10, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 15, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $49,500 to $19,500. It is noted that the Assessor adjusted the land use code from 1155 to 1178 and the Board then reduced the land value 35% for topography. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 23, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $6,000. The Assessor had already granted 50% reduction for an unbuildable site in the 1991 revaluation. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. William D. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $221,760. The Assessor had already granted 28% for excess front footage. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $14,000 to $6,000. A 30% reduction because of a slide area was omitted at the time of the original valuation. MOTION Vice.Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $77,820. The improvements are reduced from $30,550 to $27,495. The total valuation is reduced from $108,370 to $105,315. The Board grants 10% reduction for increased depreciation on the improvements. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 15, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $70,000 to $63,000. The Board grants 10% reduction for ground water (curtain drain). Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Richard & Valerie Durling BOE: #91-087.R PN: 990 600368 The minutes of November 15, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 15, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $55,000 to $40,000. The Board sustained the site improvements at $1,500 and the improvements at $139,535. The total valuation is reduced from $196,035 to $181,035. The reduction is due to a land code classification change to 1154 which changes the view from good to average. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Brant Bauder BOE: #91-095-LO PN: 995 500 052 The minutes of October 2, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 15, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. Board of Equalization Minutes: December 17, 1991 Page: 5 MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to sustain the land valuation at $35,000. The valuation is consistent with land code 1175. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. Laurason T. Hunt BOE: #91-105-R PN: 983 401 307 The minutes of October 4, 1991 show the facts presented to the Board. Available data was reviewed and the Board noted that an on-site inspection was held on October 23, 1991 and a Deputy Assessor was present. MOTION Vice-Chairman Douglas moved to reduce the land valuation from $92,000 to $80,000. The site improvements are sustained at $2,500 and the improvements are sustained at $89,555. The total valuation is reduced from $184,055 to $172,055. The Board reduced the land valuation consistent with land code 1115 under neighborhood code 3365. Member Archie Barber, Jr. seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting adjourned.
