Chairman William S. Marlow called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. in the presence of Vice-Chairman Richard A.
Broders and Member James A. DeLeo.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Vice-Chairman Broders moved to approve the minutes of March 6, 2001. Member DeLeo seconded the motion
which carried by a unanimous vote.

After reviewing all the information submitted by both parties and conducting an inspection of the property, the
Board concurred that the steep ravine which runs through this parcel, negatively affects its value as indicated by the
appellant's purchase price. The purchase price accurately reflects fair market value of this parcel. Vice-Chairman
Broders moved to overrule the Assessor's determination of value and reduce it from $180,000 to $150,000. Member
DeLeo seconded the motion which carried by a unanimous vote. (See also minutes of March 6,2001)
EQUALIZATION
Chairman Marlow explained that in the course of hearing a timely filed appeal (BOE#00-104-LO) submitted by
Robert and Adele Lowe, the Board discovered a condition that materially affects the valuation of the parcel under
appeal, as well as the adjacent parcel. A steep ravine runs through both parcels which negatively affects their
valuations as indicated by the purchase price of the appellant's property. The Board reduced the valuation of the
parcel under appeal, and feels it is necessary to equalize the valuation of the adjacent parcel in order to maintain
equity. Vice-Chairman Broders moved to equalize the valuation of the adjacent parcel #965800001 by reducing the
base land value to $150,000 to reflect fair market value. Member DeLeo seconded the motion which carried by a
unanimous vote. ( See above and also minutes of March 6, 2001)
