CASE#: SOM00-00152
Dear GEARY HEINE:
Per review of Jefferson County records it has come our attention that there is an additional bedroom and
bathroom above the garage.
A review of the septic system, SEP00-00152 serving this property is sized for 2 bedrooms.
The additional connection of the bedroom is not in compliance with the septic case conditions of
approval as it exceeds the capacity as permitted.
From the perspective of Jefferson County Public Health, our concern is that by making this connection,
this is creating an additional load on a system that is at its maximum capacity.
Continued connection/use of the bedroom may result in the premature failure of the septic system.
I have enclosed copies of the County Code provisions referenced in this notice as well as copies of any
relevant definitions. If applicable, I have also enclosed copies of the applicable provisions of the state
regulations.
This letter is intended to serve as formal notice that no further approvals shall be granted until corrections
are made and approved by Health Department staff.
Please call me at(360)384-9444, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 4:30pm if you have questions
regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
