TUESDAY NEAR AND FAR with host Kani-Ma Tuesday 9:30-11am DJ Kani-ma spins Near and Far – featuring multi-cultural, folk, and ethnic music from around the world, local musicians, and musicians that have passed through our very own Port Townsend – many of whom she has seen perform live. She is passionate about music and community radio. Sept 10 DJ Kani-ma will interview Margaret Mizushima, author of the award-winning "Timber Creek K-9 Mysteries”. As a General Contractor he is acutely aware of the housing shortcomings in our community. For the past three years he’s been on the Planning Commission, learning the ins and outs of zoning and other building regulations. He wants to help streamline the process and hopes to accelerate the addition of multi-family buildings in PT. He describes himself as an “eternal optimist”. He wants to work with the Council to “find ways to say yes” to thoughtful development. Right now, he’s coming up to speed on all city issues, including our growing pothole epidemic.
