Good Afternoon,
Please see the attached letter lowering the current burn restrictions to the MODERATE level. At this level recreational burning “campfires” and charcoal appliances are allowed. Large
clearing or yard debris fires continue to be prohibited until at least September 30. This is in collaboration with the Jefferson County Fire Chief’s Association. DNR retraction of high
fire proclamation and DNR lowering fire danger levels on state lands were considered in this decision.
