Hello Commissioners—
As you may recall, the subject of providing a clear name for the main trail now envisioned, via the RAISE grant-funded planning effort, to connect from the Hood Canal Bridge to a location
somewhere along the existing ODT, is a suggestion we first brought to you a year or two ago. In turn, you asked us to provide you with our recommendation. The attached letter provides
that recommendation and we hope you will take it under prompt consideration and make whatever sort of official declaration you would deem appropriate. As all these RAISE/PS2P projects
get under way, it will be important, for many reasons, to eliminate ambiguity and potential confusion. We hope the attached letter provides you with sufficient information to proceed
with doing so. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to assist you in this process.
