Do not open attachments or click on links if you are not expecting them. Dear BOCC, Directing tax dollars toward non-essential uses instead of basics like infrastructure, and law enforcement bothers most people. And, I would add that presently it is inappropriate when the county is struggling to finance the very necessary infrastructure (roads, etc.), and required things like law enforcement that the BOCC are elected to manage. And... Yes, as a 50 year self employed business owner (now retired), I see no legitimate reason The Public Alliance requires Tax Payer Moneys. They rely on their fees, volunteers from the general public, and from those groups and functions they cater to, ticket sales where applicable, also cash donations are collected, donations of materials and promotional commercial products, and from the businesses who benefit the most. And, all that is great! I, as a business owner, and employer would have supported it which in my case would have been, "The Boatyard BBQ". However... To ask All Residents to give up their funds to a private company, non-profit or not which truly is non-essential when infrastructure is in "dire need" then of course not. The county priorities are clear and concise. Please table the idea of giving “our moneys” to Public Alliance, and earmark such tax payer moneys for the, "dire needs" of our roads and law enforcement. Yes, every dollar does count. Respectfully, and kind regards Mike Galmukoff 132 Nip Lee Rd. Chimacum, 98325 ph 360.381.6550
